PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
It's May. A new development has occurred with the dues deductions. But you knew since you've by now received your love letter from Roger Pickens, Director of Risk Management. My message to the membership is this: Relax. Don't panic. Although Gwinnett County has now decided to begin enforcing this policy across the board, your membership is still intact with all benefits available.
This action not only affects IBPO Local 491 members, but the memberships of F.O.P and P.B.A. At this time I would like to welcome members from F.O.P. and P.B.A. to our humble page and thank them for their inquiries into our organization and it's planned response. Now more than ever whether you chose IBPO, F.O.P. or P.B.A. it is vitally important that you affiliate yourself with one of these Law Enforcement organizations.
I would also like to thank Mr. Pickens for the "heads up" on our unrighteous behavior and his helpful advice on how to continue having Gwinnett County handle our dues deductions for us. All IBPO 491 members should continue doing their jobs to the best of their ability and await further communications via this page or email. Until then, stay safe.
If you or anyone you know would like more information on how to become a member of Gwinnett County IBPO Local 491, please contact myself, Sgt. Bongiovanni or Officer Fouchia.
